Swet Ganga Hydropower and Construction Limited is going to issue the IPO to the locals. As per our sources, the company will be selling the 1593000 shares to the locals of the projected affected areas from Jestha 23, 2079 BS in its first phase. The deadline for the application is Ashad 3, 2079 BS. If the locals do not fully subscribe to the issue the deadline will be extended until 21st Ashad 21, 2079 BS.

Locals of Ramechhap and Okhaldhunga districts can apply for the shares. They can apply to purchase a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 10000 units.
The company submitted its application to the board on 10th Karthik, 2078 BS. Moreover, SEBON, Securities Board of Nepal, granted permission to the company for public issuance on Jestha 11, 2079 BS.
Right after, they will be issuing shares to the general public. The company will be issuing a total of 9982500 shares as the Initial Public Offering. The total IPO amounts to Rs 39.82 crore as they are issuing IPO at a par value of Rs 100 per share. Moreover, the company has appointed Sanima Capital Limited as the issue manager.
About Swet Ganga Hydropower and Construction Limited
Swet Ganga Hydropower and Construction Limited was registered in the Department of Industry as per the prevailing Company Act of the Nepal Government on 17th Falgun, 2061 BS. It is a sister organization of Sanima Hydro Group and is a special purpose vehicle to develop and implement Tallo Likhu Jalvidhyut Aayojana with an installed capacity of 28.1 Mega Watt. The project is based in Ramechhap District, Bagmati Province, and Okhaldhunga District, Province No 1 and is Run of River type project.
As per Swet Ganga Hydropower and Construction Ltd. (SGHCL), the electricity generated from the project will be connected to the national grid through a 23km long, 132 KV transmission line at the new Khimti Substation.
The project has a paid-up capital of Rs 119.47 crores, which will increase and reach up to Rs 159.3 crores after its IPO. Likewise, the promoters of the company would have 75 percent of ownership after the issue of IPO whereas the general public will have a 25 percent share in the company.
